Week 6

6:19. Attention or concentration is probably the most important essential in the development of mind culture. The possibilities of attention when properly directed are so startling that they would hardly appear credible to the uninitiated. The cultivation of attention is the distinguishing characteristic of every successful man or woman, and is the very highest personal accomplishment which can be acquired. Haanel.

Attention:
: the act or power of carefully thinking about, listening to, or watching someone or something
: notice, interest, or awareness
: special care or treatment

Concentration:
: the ability to give your attention or thought to a single object or activity : the ability to concentrate
: the act of giving your attention to a single object or activity
: a large amount of something in one place

I knew that attention is important. I did not know that it is this important: “… the very highest personal accomplishment which can be acquired.” Wow.

  1. I thought I knew the meaning of this two words but reading them in the dictionary just opened my mind to a bigger picture of what they truly mean. Tomorrow when I read week 6 again I will keep this in mind. Thank you.
